Paris Saint-Germain have made an offer to Lille for midfielder Renato Sanches and are now leading the race, a report claims.
According to le10sport, PSG have made an offer of €10m to Lille for the transfer of the 24-year-old but negotiations are ongoing because they want more in order to sell. PSG are set to hire Christophe Galtier as their new head coach and he worked with Sanches at Lille, as did their old sporting director Luis Campos who is also now at PSG.
Even though Sanches has only a year left on his contract, Les Dogues are hoping to secure a better price and discussions are therefore continuing to try to reach an agreement. Neither side are in a hurry, but PSG are confident because the player wants to move to Paris.
Milan continue to follow the case and could join the battle but PSG have an advantage because they have moved with an official offer and financially are more than capable of bridging any gap with Lille.
