Due to the knee issues, Ibrahimovic failed to hit double figures this season and was forced to settle with eight goals. A number that was beaten by his forward colleague Giroud, who got eleven goals in the league.
On Instagram, Giroud sent a message to his teammate and friend following the knee surgery: “Wish you a speedy recovery my big bro. You’ll come back stronger as always”.
