Zlatan Ibrahimovic decided to come back ‘home’ to Milanello on Monday to visit the AC Milan squad and staff on the eve of their game against Newcastle.
As Il Giornale (via MilanNews) report this morning, the Swede visited Stefano Pioli and his former teammates, who had just begun work in view of their Champions League opener after the damaging defeat in the derby.
It is a visit that has been agreed upon for some time and it was scheduled for Friday, but then postponed to yesterday because Zlatan was playing in a charity match to raise money for flood victims.
However, it could be a precursor for what is to come in the future. Ibrahimovic has not yet committed to anything since retiring from football as a player, and thus the door remains open to a return to Milan in some capacity.
As per the paper, Geoffrey Moncada confirmed the news of an ongoing contact with the 41-year-old.
