AC Milan

MN: From Coutinho to Sabitzer

AC Milan’s search for a new attacking midfielder is now well underway and the club continue to be linked with a number of targets.

As MilanNews reports, the free transfer of Hakan Calhanoglu to Inter has left a gap in the starting line-up in Stefano Pioli’s 4-2-3-1 that must now be filled. While waiting for the definition of the return of Brahim Diaz on loan with the option to buy, the attention of the management is also with the many agents who are offering their clients to the club.

Dusan Tadic of Ajax, James Rodriguez of Everton, Philippe Coutinho of Barcelona, Dani Ceballos of Real Madrid and Marcel Sabtizer of RB Leipzig are some of the names that have emerged in recent weeks.

The report mentions that they are more or less all achievable targets, which certainly represent opportunities given that Maldini and Massara are very attentive to the cast-offs of big clubs or to the profiles of players whose contracts will expire in 2022 and who could be useful for Milan.
