Milan’s first summer signing very close with possible medical next Monday


AC Milan are getting ready to welcome their first new signing of the summer window with Divock Origi set to undergo a medical next week.

According to Sky, the Rossoneri have accelerated for the Belgian striker who has an expiring contract with Liverpool, meaning that he will play in the Champions League final against Real Madrid and then start a new adventure in Italy.

The belief is that he could fly to Milano very soon after the final, with Monday May 30 the day when he might undergo undergo medical examinations and sign his new contract with Milan.

The former Lille and Wolfsburg man has played 18 games this season, scoring 6 goals (three in the Premier League, two in the League Cup and one in the Champions League, against Milan at San Siro to knock them out of the group stages) and adding 4 assists.

In 175 games for Liverpool, Origi has scored 41 goals and provided 18 assists. In the 2018-19 season he scored in the comeback win over Barcelona at Anfield and then netted to make it 2-0 in the final against Tottenham

Fabrizio Romano adds that Milan are ‘waiting for Origi in Italy next week to undergo medical tests and then sign the contract’ as the forward is ‘joining fresh Serie A champions on a free move’. He ‘reached verbal agreement one month ago’ and will soon sign.
