Milan want €40m Chelsea man that Tuchel considers surplus to requirements

AC Milan are desperate to land a new attacking midfielder as soon as possible, and there are reportedly several open tracks at the moment.

According to Il Milanista, Nikola Vlasic is still the favourite, despite the fact that the negotiations with CSKA Moscow are increasingly difficult because the Russian club are not interested in accepting a loan with option to buy formula. Josip Ilicic is the most accessible target in terms of cost, and an offer could soon be launched.

The real dream of though is Hakim Ziyech of Chelsea, who has been followed by Milan for weeks, but dealing with the Premier League is quite complicated despite the good relations between the two clubs.

They have no intention of opening to a loan formula given they paid €40m for the Morocco international, but the situation could change if we were to reach the end of the market with Ziyech was still in the squad, given that Thomas Tuchel does not consider him part of the project.

Meanwhile, his former teammate Giroud spoke about Ziyech during the first press conference with Milan and encouraged him to join: “Ziyech is a great player. We had a very good connection even though we played a few games together. He has a formidable left foot and the more quality players we have in the team, the better.”
