AC Milan’s fantastic 2022 is reflected in the attendance numbers that they recorded throughout the calendar year, a report has revealed.
Milan TV (via MilanNews) dedicated a section this afternoon to the ’12th man’ of the Rossoneri, which is the fans who turn up to San Siro every game to support the side. Since the capacity in Italian stadiums has returned to being 100%, Milan have registered an average of 72,298 spectators per game.
As for the 2022-23 season, the average is 72,606 tickets sold per match, which makes the Rossoneri the number one team in Italy for attendance and the fourth in Europe.
In the Champions League the average is 70,228 fans per game, which makes Milan the top Italian club in that competitions. With the Scudetto battle to hopefully open back up and the last 16 tie against Spurs to come, it is likely that the strong attendance numbers will continue into the new year and beyond.
