Milan to discuss possible deals for Real Madrid duo during Sunday friendly

AC Milan will face Real Madrid on Sunday during a friendly in Austria, and it will mark an opportunity for the two clubs to discuss potential deals.

According to Tuttosport (via MilanNews), Milan will be reacquainted with Carlo Ancelotti, who has returned to Los Blancos’ bench. The Rossoneri will also speak with the management of the LaLiga giants about two players, namely Isco and Alvaro Odriozola.

The Spanish attacking midfielder is one of the many players that Milan are following as a potential replacement for Hakan Calhanoglu and they are carefully analysing his profile and the opportunity that could arise, given the player’s deal is due to expire in 2022 and he is not part of Ancelotti’s project.

He could leave for an amount of around €18-20m, but tactically he may not be the best fit as Milan are looking for a central attacking midfielder but one who could also play on the flanks in a 4-4-2 if Ibrahimovic and Giroud are up front together.

As for Odriozola, the 25-year-old Spaniard is always in the sights of Milan as an alternative target to Diogo Dalot of Manchester United. The English club could yet give the green light for Dalot to leave, but if the talks were to fall through then Milan could move for the Real Madrid man.
