Milan convinced they will sign midfielder as he gives total approval to summer move

AC Milan feel confident that they will sign Renato Sanches from Lille to replace Franck Kessie before next season, according to a report.

It is no secret now that Kessie is heading into the last few months of his contract and is currently very unlikely to extend it, which means the Milan management do not want to be caught unprepared and therefore they are working ahead of time to get a deal lined up for the man who will take his spot.

That man is Portugal international Renato Sanches who has been in fine form since joining Lille from Bayern Munich, and report how Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara made a concrete attempt in the last few days of the January mercato to sign him for the second half of the season, but were unable to convince Lille.

Nonetheless, the 24-year-old remains the main candidate to take over from Kessie and the management are strengthened by the player’s total approval regarding the idea of a switch to the Diavolo, and the Rossoneri are convinced they will reach the finish line by the end of the season.
