Once Rangnick uses the hectic festive period to assess the squad, United could shift host a number of unwanted stars and deals are reportedly already being discussed.

Newcastle ‘set to launch’ Lingard bid
Newcastle are set to launch a bid to sign Jesse Lingard and have made the England international their priority for the January window.
The Times report that talks between the Magpies and Lingard’s representatives have already taken place, even going as far as to offer the midfielder a lucrative salary.
The 28-year-old has a four-and-a-half-year deal on the table that is said to be in excess of £100,000-a-week.
According to reports, Lingard rejected a move to West Ham United in the summer, having spent the second half last season at the London Stadium, where he scored nine goals in 16 games.
But after Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was reluctant to use him this term and with the expiration of his contract approaching in June, he looks set to leave sooner rather than later.
Red Devils receive Dembele boost
Barcelona winger Ousmane Dembele has been a long-rumoured target for United, and now Old Trafford chiefs have reportedly received a boost in their hopes to sign the 24-year-old.
Spanish newspaper Mundo Deportivo claim that Dembele is ‘hesitant’ about agreeing a new contract at the Camp Nou, having been in Catalonia for over four years.
The former Borussia Dortmund star’s current deal also expires next summer but the Blaugrana would be keen on recouping some of the £135.5million they paid for Dembele in 2017.
The Red Devils have constantly been linked with interest in the Frenchman but a move looks unlikely given the abundance of attacking options which Rangnick has at his disposal.

Dalot ‘most concrete option’ for Roma
Diogo Dalot could be following Lingard out of the exit door in January, with Roma keen to sign the defender.
Gazzetta dello Sport say that the Giallorossi’s technical director, Tiago Pinto, has been working to engineer January deals ‘for weeks.’
Dalot is named as the ‘most concrete option’ for Roma, having spent last season on loan with AC Milan.
But what makes the move viable is that Jose Mourinho was the man to sign the Portugal international at Old Trafford in 2018.
Dalot has since endured a difficult few years in Manchester but the 22-year-old impressed during United’s 3-2 victory very Arsenal on Wednesday and Rangnick may well have liked what he saw.
