Paolo Maldini has revealed his delight that AC Milan will get the chance to stay in shape during their warm weather training camp by taking part in the Dubai Super Cup.
The Super Cup is a friendly tournament that will be played from 8 to 16 December in Dubai at the Al-Maktoum stadium, with the clubs participating in order to ensure their players are getting minutes in their legs even during the break for the World Cup.
Arsenal announced this morning that Milan will play against them on Tuesday December 13 at 6:00pm local time, which is 3:00pm CET. Liverpool’s official website confirmed that Jurgen Klopp’s men will then face the reigning Serie A champions Milan at 4:30pm CET (7:30pm local time) on Friday December 16.
Maldini spoke to the tournament’s official website and gave a brief statement revealing the Rossoneri’s delight at being able to participate in the competition.
“We are thrilled to take part in the Dubai Super Cup and to face two great teams like Liverpool and Arsenal. They will be important and interesting games that will really help us prepare for the second part of the season,” he said.
