Maignan all ok but concerns grow over Ibrahimovic’s presence against Juventus

Concerns are growing that Zlatan Ibrahimovic will not be back in time for Sunday’s crucial trip to face Juventus in Turin.

Ibrahimovic seemed all set to start at Anfield in the Rossoneri’s return to the Champions League after a seven-year absence, but on the morning of the day before the game it emerged that the 39-year-old suffered an Achilles problem in Sunday’s 2-0 win over Lazio and would not be travelling.

According to the latest from MilanNews, Zlatan Ibrahimovic underwent a personalised training routine today and therefore did not work with the rest of the squad. The Swede is still struggling with the tendon inflammation that kept him out of the trip to Liverpool, and will try to recover in view of the match against Juventus on Sunday evening.

There is no problem for goalkeeper Mike Maignan though after worries emerged that he had suffered some kind of physical problem during last night’s 3-2 defeat.
