Liverpool could be set for their most active summer in a while as they look to recover from a difficult year.
Injuries galore have disrupted their rhythm and hampered the defence of their title.
Adding new defenders seems inevtiable following their struggles at the back this season.
Similarly though they haven’t been as electric in attack as we’ve become used to with their front three struggling for goals at times.
A new forward or perhaps a creative player may be sought as they seek to add a new dimension.
We take a look at the latest transfer rumours coming out of Liverpool.
Liverpool are keeping tabs on Reading star Michael Olise, reports Eurosport.
The teenager has enjoyed an excellent season in the Championship as the Royals push for the top six.
His creative flair has seen him score five times and register 10 assists.
Chelsea, Borussia Dortmund and Manchester City are also thought to be keen on the 19-year-old however.
City battle for Mendes deal
Manchester City are ready to battle with Liverpool for the signing of Portuguese wonderkid Nuno Mendes, according to Eurosport.
The left-back has been one of Sporting Lisbon’s standout performers this season as they the Portuguese title.
It is understood that Liverpool, City and Manchester United all enquired about the teenager in January.
City are looking to secure his services but offer him on loan for a further year as they aim to beat the Reds in the transfer race.
Reds ‘pause’ on Milenkovic pursuit
Corriere Fiorentino believe Liverpool are still weighing up whether to move for Fiorentina’s Nikola Milenkovic.
Napoli and AC Milan are both keen but the defender is seeking a Premier League switch.
Fiorentina are seeking between €30m and €35m from his sale.
The Reds may well look to bolster their defensive options but Milenkovic performed poorly in Serbia’s draw with Portugal which has seen Liverpool “pause” before deciding on their next move.
