Rafael Leao has been a key player for AC Milan since the start of last season and this has naturally increased his transfer value. In fact, thanks to his recent displays, he’s now the most valuable player in Serie A.
The Portuguese winger has bagged six goals and nine assists in all competitions this season, really proving just how important he is for Milan. It’s not exactly surprising that the Rossoneri are desperate to renew his deal, which is proving to be difficult (read more).
According to Transfermarkt, which is the main site for player values, Leao is now the most valuable player in the league. His value has increased to €85m and Duan Vlahovic, who used to be the most valuable, has gone down to €80m.
Based on the first half of this season, that is certainly fair. Leao has really flourished in this Milan side and Vlahovic still needs some time, by the looks of it, to regain the goal form he had at Fiorentina at Juventus.
