Kalulu expected to remain as Milan search for a left-sided defender

Pierre Kalulu is not expected to leave AC Milan this summer with the management instead looking for a complimentary defender, a report claims.

The Frenchman arrived at Milan as a relative unknown from Lyon and enjoyed a rapid rise to being an established starter during the Scudetto-winning season, but like Fikayo Tomori he struggled to find consistency in 2022-23.

Alessandro Schiavone – who is part of the Di Marzio team – recently reported that Milan listen to offers for Ante Rebic, Divock Origi and ‘not surprisingly given his drop of form’ Kalulu as well.

Daniele Longo of Calciomercato.com was asked on Twitter and he responded to the rumours that Kalulu could depart the club after four years.

“Kalulu… I don’t think he will leave, Milan are looking for a left-footed defender who can also play as a full-back,” he said.

It comes after his report on Calciomercato.com stated that Milan seem to have fallen on Evan N’Dicka as a concrete target. The French centre-back will leave Eintracht Frankfurt on a free at the end of the month and he ticks a lot of boxes, including the fact he can play left-back.
