AC Milan striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic has made the claim that he is ‘still god’ ahead of his potential return to action on Friday against Torino.
Ibrahimovic spoke exclusively to Claudio Raimondi in SportMediaset a few days after his return to the pitches of Milanello, and his comments were relayed by MilanNews.
“I’m still God, I’m still number 1: now I come back and change the music. I have a lot of desire, I want to do many things, what I have lost in these 7/8 months. I wasted time. Team in crisis? I’m not worried, these are normal moments within a season. Now we need to talk little and demonstrate on the pitch our value,” he said.
There’s no shortage of criticism…
“It’s normal, because if they don’t criticise you, you’re not at the top. They’ve criticised me for 25 years because I’m number one, I’m used to it. It’s like adding fuel to the fire and when you play with fire, you burn yourself. Do I still feel like God? Of course. It does not change anything.”
