AC Milan

“I think we could have won”

Brahim Diaz was one of the better players for AC Milan this evening as they took on Liverpool in their Champions League comeback. Unfortunately, the Rossoneri lost the game by three goals to two eventually.

The Spaniard got on the scoresheet towards the end of the first half as he completed the stunning turnaround from 1-0 to 1-2. It wasn’t enough in the end and Milan will have to recharge their batteries now.

In an interview with Sky Italia, as cited by MilanNews, Diaz shared his thoughts about the game. He admitted that he isn’t happy with the game as he feels the Rossoneri could have secured the three points.

On the game…

“I think we didn’t start well, they were very aggressive. Then we brought out our talent and put the game back on its feet. It’s very difficult to overturn the result here and we did it, too bad.”

Can you have your say in the Champions League?

“We are Milan and I think we have shown that we can also compete with the big teams.”

You are angry?

“Yes, I think we could have won here and now I’m angry.”

As said, Milan will have to recharge their batteries as a clash at Juventus awaits on Sunday evening. The Rossoneri could be considered favourites but it will still be a tough game for them, especially after this loss.
