AC Milan are planning new talks with the entourage of Olivier Giroud over a renewal next month, according to a report.
Several sources have been reporting over the past few weeks that Giroud’s contract extension would just be a matter of time and that a signature plus subsequent official announcement could come at any time, however there has since been a worrying silence on that front with nothing to suggest that pen on paper is imminent.
According to this morning’s edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport (via MilanNews), the future of several Milan players in the attacking department is yet to be written but Giroud does still seem destined to extend his stay.
The French striker has already spoken to Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara about renewing his contract and is now waiting for a new meeting to be scheduled between the parties, which should take place in April.
