AC Milan’s owners Elliott Management are ready and waiting to invest in the playing squad once the summer transfer window opens, it is claimed.
Milan had a very quiet January window compared to their rivals as the only signing made was 18-year-old striker Marko Lazetic, who arrives to essentially fill the void of being third choice striker given that Pietro Pellegri’s loan spell from Monaco was terminated early.
This caused alarm among some supporters and pundits given how other teams strengthened, as Inter signed both Robin Gosens and Felipe Caicedo, while Juventus got Dusan Vlahovic and Denis Zakaria, Roma signed Sergio Oliveira and Atalanta bought Jeremie Boga from Sassuolo.
Speaking on Sky (via MilanNews), Gianluca Di Marzio discussed what the Milan management have planned for the summer market and he stated his belief that ‘Elliott wants to invest during the summer market’ and ‘sign strong players like Botman and Sanches’.
The Rossoneri have been repeatedly linked with moves for Sven Botman and Renato Sanches over the past few weeks.
