Crucial Sassuolo trip could be last Milan game for four players

Sassuolo-Milan will not only be the last game of the season but it should also be the final game at the club for three players, a report claims.

As Corriere della Sera (via MilanLive) reports, the game against the Neroverdi at the Mapei Stadium should be the final game in the Rossoneri shirt for Alessio Romagnoli, whose future is still difficult to interpret. He will leave Milan once his deal expires at the end of next month, after seven years of service to the club.

Samu Castillejo is another one who will certainly leave. The Spanish winger was already due to leave last summer when many clubs were linked and then in January when Sampdoria and Espanyol tried to sign him, but now the end credits have arrived. Castillejo has many offers in Spain and given his deal expires in June 2023 it will be a low-cost deal.

Tiemoué Bakayoko will also depart. His return to Milan after three years has not gone well as tendon problems have kept him out and he has struggled when he did get on the field, which means Paolo Maldini will cancel the two-year loan agreement with Chelsea in advance.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic could leave as he is out of contract too, but the decision will be up to the striker who in turn will look for signs from his body that he can continue.
