Chelsea transfer round-up: Sergio Aguero stance, Eduardo Camavinga complications

Chelsea are set for a second consecutive free-spending summer transfer window this year.

The Blues are one of the teams in the hunt for Borussia Dortmund wonderkid Erling Haaland, but have a host of alternatives in the pipeline.

Thomas Tuchel, who took over just days before the January transfer window closed, could also look to strengthen his defence.

The Blues have been linked with David Alaba, who now seems destined for Real Madrid, considering Thiago Silva’s contract is yet to be extended.

Transfer news is coming thick and fast at Stamford Bridge, with the potential that they’ll make a move for a defensive midfielder as well.

Camavinga situation complicated

Chelsea have been tentatively linked with a stunning move for Rennes wonderkid Eduardo Camavinga, who seems destined to leave this summer.

However, the Blues will face stiff competition from elsewhere, with Real Madrid his preferred destination.

Despite having his heart set on a move to the Bernabeu, that will all change if Zinedine Zidane is sacked, it has been claimed by Spanish outlet AS.

If Madrid part ways with the iconic midfielder, a move to Spain won’t hold the same allure.

Sergio Aguero stance

Chelsea have been tipped to take advantage of Sergio Aguero’s impending free agency and snap up the Manchester City icon.

The Blues want a striker, and Aguero will leave the Etihad this summer, so it seems logical that they might make a cheeky inquiry.

However, transfer expert Fabrizio Romano claims Chelsea have different targets in mind and aren’t currently planning to move for Aguero.

Gianluigi Donnaruma approach

Chelsea are yet to make an approach for AC Milan goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnaruma, it has been claimed.

Donnaruma, 22, was linked with a move to Stamford Bridge last summer as Frank Lampard haunted for a replacement for Kepa Arrizabalaga.

However, despite the young stopper being out of contract at the end of the season, Romano claims Chelsea are yet to make an approach for the man who has played 241 times for Milan.
