Former Barcelona star Ronaldinho has revealed the player he thinks is “one of the best” at the moment – and they’ve been linked with a summer move to Chelsea.

AC Milan forward Rafael Leao has contributed towards 18 goals for Stefano Pioli’s side as they stand on the verge of winning Serie A. And World Cup winner Ronaldinho has revealed his love for the player ahead of a potential summer move.

It comes as a familiar problem reared its head for the Blues as they drew 1-1 with Leicester City. Marcos Alonso’s fine volley handed Chelsea a 1-1 draw and seemingly secured a third-place Premier League finish for the Blues

Ronaldinho’s transfer recommendation

Former Barcelona superstar Ronaldinho has said AC Milan’s Rafael Leao is “one of the best” players in the world.

“Leao is one of the best now,” Ronaldinho said. “I see him and I like him a lot, he’s one of the best today.” It comes as Todd Boehly is reportedly set to ‘push for A-list signings’ to mark a new era at Stamford Bridge once his takeover goes through, per football.london.

And Ronaldinho’s recommendation could give the Blues the perfect player to target.

Leicester talking points

Marcos Alonso overcame his early mistake to earn the Blues a 1-1 draw against Leicester.

The fullback switched off to help James Maddison to rifle the Foxes into an early lead at Stamford Bridge, but delivered a sweetly-struck effort to level before the break. The result all but secures Chelsea a third place finish in the Premier League, with a three point lead on Spurs in fourth but with a far superior goal diffference.

It was a match full of talking points, including Chelsea’s striking struggles, Alonso’s mixed night and Todd Boehly’s attendance.

Familiar problem returns

Chelsea’s frustrating home form has cost them yet again.

The Blues struggled to find a winner against Leicester City with prospective owner Todd Boehly also in attendance at Stamford Bridge.

Thomas Tuchel’s side have now registered seven draws during home matches in the Premier League this season. They have managed just eight home wins – the worst of all the teams in the top seven.

The Blues’ home form has been a big reason for Tuchel’s side failing to keep pace with Liverpool and Manchester City this season and is bound to be something they want to improve upon next term. Chelsea will welcome Watford to Stamford Bridge on Sunday hoping to end their season with one last home win.
