AC Milan and Inter have taken a big step forward in their stadium project as the creation of the financing vehicle has now occurred, a report claims.
Calcio e Finanza reports how plans continue to be made regarding the Nuovo Stadio Milano and one of the issues on the table also concerns the vehicle through which Inter and Milan will finance the project, considering that the entire operation will be carried out in project financing.
As explained several times by the leaders of the two clubs, the funding will be repaid through the increase in cash flows that will derive from the new stadium. According to the initial plans, the idea was that of a loan at a value of around 90% of the costs of the stadium, although the estimates will probably be revised considering the different volumes compared to what was initially expected by the clubs.
The vehicle to pay for the new stadium already exists and it is a newly-created company called MI Stadio, which is 50% owned by FC Internazionale Milano SpA and 50% by AC Milan SpA, which manages the activities of the stadium on behalf of the clubs. The MI Stadio will thus be reconstituted as a financing vehicle for the new stadium project.
