With AC Milan looking for midfield reinforcements, Real Madrid‘s Isco has entered the Rossoneri’s wishlist.
After losing midfielder Hakan Calhanoglu to rivals Inter, Milan are searching for a replacement and feel Isco is the right man for the job.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Isco is a serious objective for Milan, after having tried to sign the Spaniard on several previous occasions. But in each of those failed approaches, the economic aspect of the deal was a problem, and thus negotiations never came to fruition. Isco was too expensive for Milan.
Now, that situation has changed. Isco is affordable and Milan are keen to seal the arrival of the Real Madrid man. Los Blanches value Isco at around 20 million euros, and taking into account he has just one year left on his contract, that fee could be reduced further.
Real Madrid and Isco have been looking to part ways for some time, and on Monday he wasn’t present for the team’s return to training. Isco has lost his place in the Real Madrid team, making 29 appearances last season for a total of just 1,000 minutes, and was already looking for a move in January.
Despite the arrival of Carlo Ancelotti on the Real Madrid bench, the club remain firm in their stance that Isco should leave, which is where Milan come in given the Rossoneri are in permanent contact with Los Blancos having also shown interest in Brahim Diaz, who spent last season on loan at the San Siro, Luka Jovic and Alvaro Odriozola.
