Watch Lewandowski ‘make Pique his DOG’ as he humiliates Barcelona defender with silky skill in Bayern win

ROBERT LEWANDOWSKI has been praised for making Gerard Pique ‘his dog’ during Bayern Munich’s win over Barcelona on Tuesday night.

The 33-year-old Polish striker netted twice as the German champions strolled to a 3-0 victory over the Spanish giants.

Having already scored once in the second half, Lewandowski helped himself to another goal in the 85th minute.

The Bayern No9 reacted coolly when the ball came back to him after Serge Gnabry struck the post.

He composed himself before nonchalantly taking it around a desperate Pique and smashing it beyond Marc-Andre ter Stegen to wrap the game up.

Speaking about Lewandowski and Pique scrambling on the floor, one social media user said: “Messi’s chip ?? Lewandowski just made Pique his dog.”

And another added: “Lewandowski making a so called world class experienced defender Pique eat grass.”

Lewandowski’s supreme composure has been compared to what former Barcelona man Lionel Messi did to Bayern defender Jerome Boateng six years ago.

The Argentine scored his second of the night in a 3-0 Barcelona victory during the first leg of the 2014-15 Champions League semi-finals.

And he did so in style, famously twisting and turning Germany’s World Cup-winning defender Boateng inside out before putting him on the floor.

Messi then dinked the ball over a helpless Manuel Neuer to net his second goal in just three minutes.

Barcelona went on to win the tie 5-3. They then beat Juventus 3-1 in the final to claim a fourth Champions League trophy in nine years.

But since then Bayern have had Barcelona’s number in Europe’s premier competition.

In the 2019-20 season, the Bundesliga side dismantled Messi and Co 8-2 before going on to lift the trophy.

And last night was much of the same as Bayern taught Barca a lesson at the Nou Camp.
