Two exits could pave way for Milan to reinforce two departments

Two weeks remain of the transfer window and while there hasn’t been a lot of movement lately, AC Milan could still make a signing or two. However, this hinges on the outgoing front.

Milan started the season well with a 4-2 win against Udinese and showed that they are still a very strong team. Alessio Romagnoli and Franck Kessie haven’t really been replaced, though, and this remains a talking point.

According to today’s edition of Corriere Dello Sport (via MilanNews), Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara are carefully monitoring the market for options. Raphael Onyedika of Midtjylland seems to be the primary target for the midfield, while Abdou Diallo of PSG is that for the defence.

It’s clear, however, that both of these reinforcements depend on two exits: Matteo Gabbia in defence and Tiemoue Bakayoko in midfield. The latter is by far the most complicated one, as an agreement already has been struck with Sampdoria for the loan of Gabbia.

In short, there could still be some movement in the final 14 days of the market, but it’s not an easy situation.
