Tuttosport: All of Milan’s targets for the right flank

One of the priorities for AC Milan this transfer window is the right-wing position, with one of Alexis Saelemaekers and Junior Messias expected to depart. Therefore, the Rossoneri have several names on their list.

The centre-forward position seems to be the priority along with the centre-midfield position, which makes sense given the goalscoring struggles this past season and Ismael Bennavcer’s injury. However, then we have the right-wing position.

Saelemaekers and Messias were both underwhelming this past season and one of them is expected to leave. At the moment, it seems Messias will be sacrificed and Milan will thus have to find a new player.

According to Tuttosport (via MilanNews), the main target for the right flank appears to be Samuel Chukwueze. He scored 13 goals and assisted an additional 11 this past season but he also has a hefty price tag of around €40m.

The alternatives, therefore, start with Reiss Nelson. His contract with Arsenal is about to expire and at the age of 23, he fits the Milan project. However, it seems he could still renew his deal with the Gunners before it expires.

The next, therefore, is Edon Zhegrova. He scored three goals and got five assists for Lille this past season, and Milan have been keeping their eye on him for quite some time. Finally, Watford’s Ismaili Sarr could also be an option, but there is fierce competition from the Premier League.

Even if the Tuttosport report didn’t mention his name, it’s worth bringing up Christian Pulisic. Today’s edition of Gazzetta Dello Sport labelled him a concrete target for the Rossoneri, even if the salary issue must be solved.
