Milan could probe ground for young Leipzig midfielder in the summer

AC Milan are already planning for the summer mercato, having made just one signing last month (Marko Lazetic). One of the departments that might need reinforcement is the midfield.

Franck Kessie’s contract will expire at the end of the season and a free transfer is looking increasingly likely. Therefore, Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara are already looking around, although they will get Tommaso Pobega and Yacine Adli back from their respective loan spells.

Renato Sanches has been mentioned as the No.1 target but as per Calciomercato.it, the Rossoneri are also monitoring Leipzig midfielder Tyler Adams. The 22-year-old has the physicality needed for the tandem and can also play as a right-back.

Should Kessie leave, then Milan could probe the ground for the American, who has made 16 Bundesliga appearances this season. Leipzig paid just €3m for the services of Adams back in 2019 and they could thus make a nice profit this summer.
