Man Utd transfer target Kingsley Coman ‘wants to quit Bayern Munich because salary offered too low’

MANCHESTER UNITED target Kingsley Coman reportedly wants to quit Bayern Munich this summer.

RMC Sport claim that the French winger has chosen to reject a contract extension with the Bundesliga giants because the proposed salary is too low.

The report adds that Coman – whose current deal runs until 2023 – has been offered £10million a year to stay at Bayern.

But that is still below the £14.5m fellow winger Leroy Sane has been raking in annually since his move from Manchester City.

And Coman is said to be using his German teammate’s salary as a benchmark in negotiations having recorded better stats on the field.

The 24-year-old was also reportedly left upset by Bayern’s decision not to award him the iconic No 10 shirt.

Coman allegedly asked for Arjen Robben’s number after the Dutchman left in 2019 but the club gave it to Philippe Coutinho during his loan season.

To add insult to injury, ex-City speedster Sane was then handed the No 10 on a permanent basis last term.

Coman is now at an impasse with Bayern as SunSport revealed United are considering the Frenchman as a cheaper alternative to Jadon Sancho.

The Borussia Dortmund star has been heavily linked with a switch to Old Trafford, with the 21-year-old understood to have agreed personal terms.

SunSport have exclusively revealed that the Red Devils expect to announce his arrival at the club after Euro 2020.

A five-year deal is understood to be on the table for Sancho, who will earn £350,000-a-week at the Theatre of Dreams.

But fellow long-term target Coman has been mentioned as one name United will turn to if their deal for the England international falls through.
