Maldini says ‘echo’ of Scudetto season remains but insists Milan must ‘turn the page’

During AC Milan’s start of the pre-season this morning, Paolo Maldini was present at Milanello to watch the players and he also had time to speak to the club’s channel. He made it clear that they must turn the page.

The Rossoneri managed to clinch their first Scudetto in eleven years against all odds and their goal is obviously to defend the title this upcoming season. It won’t be an easy task, though, and a lot will depend on the reinforcements from the mercato.

Speaking to MilanTV, as cited by MilanNews, Maldini spoke about this past season but made it clear that Milan now need to turn the page and look forward. As you would expect, though, he’s optimistic about what’s to come.

“Now we start again, the vacation was well deserved. The season was fantastic. We still have the echo of last season, but we must remember how we got to this victory. Now we have to turn the page.”
