Di Marzio: Milan make decision on Kamada and Loftus-Cheek

Before getting sacked, Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara were in advanced talks with both Daichi Kamada and Ruben Loftus-Cheek. The new Milan management has now made a decision on these negotiations.

According to Gianluca Di Marzio, as cited by our colleagues at, Milan have decided to move ahead with the Kamada negotiation. The attacking midfielder’s contract will expire at the end of the month and he would thus arrive on a free transfer, which the management likes a lot.

As for Loftus-Cheek, however, Milan have seemingly shelved that operation and it’s unlikely that they will make a new move for the Chelsea midfielder. Youri Tielemans appears to be the main target for that position, instead.

Yesterday, The Daily Telegraph reported that Milan had an agreement with Chelsea at £15m (€18m) for Loftus-Cheek. Now, however, the situation is very different and the Stamford Bridge side will likely have to find another suitor for the 27-year-old.
