Chelsea continue to try sign a striker this summer transfer window with Erling Haaland and Romelu Lukaku top of their wish list despite Thomas Tuchel having difficulties
Tuchel comments on Zouma’s Chelsea future amid West Ham links
Chelsea have yet to make a significant purchase this summer with Marcus Bettinelli the only arrival as a back-up goalkeeper.
Thomas Tuchel would love to sign a striker, while a centre-back and a midfielder is also on his wish list.
If he had his way, the German would also like a right wing-back – but time is running out on his top three priorities as it is.
Jules Kounde continues to be linked with the Blues and Sevilla still negotiating while Romelu Lukaku and Erling Haalandremain the top two targets up front.
Here are the biggest Chelseatransfer rumours and gossip.
Third Lukaku bid
Chelsea have had two bids rejected for Lukaku, but they are prepared to come back in with a third imminently.
According to The Athletic, Tuchel is desperate to sign the Belgian but has been turned down by Inter so far this summer.
But they are not stopping there and the Blues intend on revisiting a transfer.
Lukaku himself has been pretty clear on how he sees the situation, insisting on more than one occasion that he sees his immediate future at the San Siro.
“Yes, I am staying,” he told Dutch broadcaster VTM at the beginning of June.
That stance has since been backed up by Nerrazurri chief Beppe Marotta, who told Sportmediaset last week: “From our side, we can yes absolutely, Lukaku is not for sale. Lukaku is an important piece on the chessboard available to Simone Inzaghi.”
Haaland £54m boost

Chelsea’s latest transfer takes them to £54m in outgoings as they try to prise Haaland away from Borussia Dortmund.
The Norway international remains the top target at Stamford Bridge after scoring 41 goals last season.
But the Bundesliga club are not interested in selling – though a mammoth bid of over £150m could tempt them.
Such an amount of money would be a mind-boggling amount for any club and Chelsea are no different and are looking to raise the funds through player sales.
And the departure of Tino Livramento to Southampton will take them up to £54m in such cash for the summer.
The 18-year-old looks set to depart for £5m – joining the likes of Dynel Simeu, Lewis Bate, Fikayo Tomori, Olivier Giroud, Marc Guehi, Pierre Ekwah and Myles Peart-Harris out the exit door.
There could be more on the way, too, with Davide Zappacosta, Emerson Palmieri, Ross Barkley, Danny Drinkwater, Baba Rahman and Tiemoue Bakayoko potentially on the way out.
Neville’s Abraham message

Arsenalhave been linked with a move for Tammy Abraham while Gary Neville has already had his say on the Chelsea star.
“He’s got to get 12-15 goals,” Neville said last season.
“He’s not going to 25 goals, but the pressure will come on him when people say ‘Chelsea need a goalscorer’.
“I know they’ve got Werner who will score from wide areas, but when the centre-forward isn’t scoring 15 goals, 20 goals a season, he’ll come under pressure.
“He’s got to get those goals early in the season. I think there’s a massive relief there on his face when doing that interview.
“I mean he could be the Firmino. You see Firmino at Liverpoolwho does sometimes get questioned a little bit for not getting enough goals.

“But I don’t think from anyone who knows football questions him and what he brings then the other two get more plaudits and score goals. But he does a lot of work for the team that obviously supports that.
“I just think at Chelsea he will get put under pressure – a young striker, English centre-forward.
“He just needs to keep scoring goals just to keep people away from him and make sure those clouds don’t build.”
