AC Milan have been alerted by the news that Diego Moreira does not seem willing to renew his contract with Benfica, according to a report.
SportItalia’s Gianluigi Longari reported in October that Moreira is ‘the latest talent on Milan’s radar’. The 18-year-old plays as a winger for Benfica (mainly on the left) and he has made two appearances for the first team.
Several teams are following him, per that particular report, but Milan have held talks with an intermediary to take stock of the situation. Now, an important update has arrived.
According to a report from Record (via PianetaMilan), Moreira’s desire is to end his experience with Benfica and it seems to be a final choice from the player. As a result, teams that followed him in the past – like Milan – could well pounce.
The report confirms that Milan are among the companies that have monitored him and the management could make a further attempt in the future, such is the policy of investing in youth.
